Abstract
The Universidad Veracruzana implemented several actions against discrimination, and favoring linguistics rights of the indigenous people since 2005. The commitment of managing the universitary ethnolinguistic diversity from a pluricultural and intercultural approach, created conditions for an early academic production which updates and so recovers national indigenous languages as thinking and knowledge languages. The main evidence of this process is the academic writing thesis in
indigenous languages, a pioneering and unusual fact in the history of Mexico that marks a new period in linguistic and educational policy in Mexican university, but still with limits and troubles.
