Abstract
This article diagnoses the scientific potential of three Higher Education Institutions by questioning about the agreements leading scientific investigation and how widely it is accepted among their researchers. The ideas of full-time researchers of these universities, Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México (UAEM), Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM), are compared. To develop such assessments, a fieldwork was conducted, which brought together 270 full-time researchers from these institutions.
