Abstract
This research main objective is to define the factors associated with the students permanence in the Bachelor of Nursing from the multidisciplinary academic unit, Matamoros, of the Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas, (UAMM-UAT). The investigation was not experimental, quantitative, transverse, descriptive and correlational and was applied on 597 students. A conceptual theoretical model was built with factors as: motivation, commitment, attitude and behaviour and socio-economic conditions and was used with structural equation modeling. Finally, there were associated factors with permanence: academic integration, institution commitment, social and family interactions and external motivation.
