Graduates from a BA Program in English Teaching: a First Look

Abstract: We describe the design methodology and preliminary results of an ongoing study of graduates from a ba program in English teaching. The aim of this study is to characterize the backgrounds and job performance of graduates and its relationship to their education. In order to collect data questionnaires were used to assess socioeconomic, personal, family, educational and job performance factors. It was found that the majority of graduates are women, coming from the state where the institution is located, from middle class families, who report a high degree of satisfaction with their education and the institution they studied at as well as a strong correlation between their training and job demands.
