Research training as an element
in consolidating university research

Abstract: based on the results of a survey this paper analyzes the influence of a range of contexts in which institutions offer doctoral programs in the area of education, on the training of researchers and therefore in the potential consolidation of research in the university. The modalities and practices in which such processes take place have not been sufficiently explored, and remain largely neglected by current methods to evaluate existing research programs, which tend to rely excessively on categories of analysis privileged by the institutionalization of educational policies.
