Educational research groups: toward a multi reference perspective typology based on representative cases

Abstract: Latin American research groups in education are an actor and object of study to be more acknowledge. Each group build its academic identity necessary for its cohesion and as a sense of belonging, as well as to delimited its area and alliances within possible field studies. This identity is reflected in their names and research lines. Considering these last denominations, I propose a research groups typology focus on education based on their research orientations that allow a multiple classification in relation to disciplines, cross-issues, subjects and areas. For this purpose, representative research groups from top Brazilian universities have been selected. A discussion about how frame these groups from a multi reference perspective is suggested.
